This section is currently being organized into a more useful format.  However, here's the links from our previous site.

These pages contain on-line games for you to do with your students as a guided activity or for your students to complete in small groups or independently.  We surfed the web for hundreds of hours and found ones that link directly to our curriculum.

Tally Marks – this game connects identifying tally marks to the numerical value.  This game is like concentration.  Students will click on a card.  The card will display either a numeral or a set of tally marks.  The object of the game is to match the set of tally marks to the numeral.

Data Picks – This site allows students to create a tally chart.  Students will click on a student.  The students will tell them what sport they like the best.  The students will then place a mark in the tally chart.  Continue until all students have indicated their favourite sport.

Interpreting Data – This site allows students to create a tally chart.  Students will click on a student.  The students will say what their favourite hobby is.  The tally chart is completed automatically.  Students will then need to type in the numeric value that each set of tally marks represent.  If you hit the “reset” button. The students can try the activity again with a new set of data.

Tally Chart – This is an interactive worksheet that you can do with your students on the whiteboard.  You can turn on the tool for a pencil and students can fill in the answers on the worksheet.  The first part of the worksheet has the students looking at a tally chart and answer questions.  The second part of the worksheet has the students create a tally chart based on data.

Tally Chart Lets students collect firsthand data by doing an experiment, and record it on tally charts.
